It seems to me that many people who post on this site have too much time on their hands!! I can safely say that I won't be signing up for Twitter. There are many other more reliable sites to keep up to date with the news.

LibraryThing
While LibraryThing is interesting, and has useful applications, it's not something I will join. I liked the Local Home area which allows you to find book stores and libraries in your vicinity by typing in a postal code. For people who like to keep lists of what they read, it would be a practical tool. Personally, I'm not into lists.

Online Productivity Tools
I might use the Google Docs templates, especially with my home computer. It's great that these tools are so readily available, and so convenient. Not everyone can afford to update their software. I don't think they will replace traditional software; I believe there is room for both.

Flickr & Youtube
I do not see myself using Flickr, although I can see why it is popular, especially for people who wish to send and edit photos.
I've known about youTube for a few years, as my son was always telling me about videos he had watched. I don't plan to spend a lot of time viewing youTube, but I can see the usefulness of it, especially for the entertainment value.
